Rosenberger Launches Smallest Shielded High-Voltage Connectors up to 40 Ampere

Rosenberger, a leading manufacturer of high-frequency and high-voltage connectivity solutions, announces the launch of the HVR®25 product family, its latest enrichment to the high-voltage connector portfolio. The HVR®25 is the smallest shielded connector in its class, offering a current capacity of up to 40 A at a cable cross section of 4 mm², compact design, and optimized cost-performance ratio.

With automotive platforms increasingly evolving to 1000 V and above, precise and efficient connector solutions are more important than ever. The HVR®25 was developed to meet these requirements by focusing on essential factors such as safety, reliability, and assembly efficiency — without unnecessary complexity. 

 

Small, Smart, Sufficient

Compared to the latest class 2 connectors, with potential space saving and cost reduction of up to 50%

The new product family features in carrying identical header interface across several cable diameters from 1.5 mm² to 4 mm², so that it could directly minimize part management efforts for customers. The cable connector ensures stable performance, supports single-core cable assembly, and is easily integrated into automated processes. The header provides flexible terminal connection options, such as busbars and pin variants and simplified installation with only two screws.

 

Technical Data

Vibration according LV215-s and SG3 standards, the HVR®25 with a working voltage of 1000 V DC features shielding, integrated HVIL, and IP protection classes up to IP6K9K. The connector is RoHS compliant and suitable for demanding environments with a temperature range from -40 °C to +125 °C. 

 

Applications

Typical applications include PTC heating, inverters, and onboard chargers (OBC), where compactness, efficiency, and safety are decisive.
